Description
LHH Recruitment Solutions are partnering with a leading Financial Services business, to recruit a qualified Financial Accountant. Reporting directly into the Head of Finance you will work as key part of the Financial Accounting team.


You will be a highly technical Accountant, with experience in writing technical accounting papers and able to lead on the production of statutory accounts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of the annual financial statements for multiple legal entities
  • Ensuring the working papers are updated and relevant for the current reporting period and being responsible for improving on existing processes.
  • Responsible for addressing and developing action plans for any control deficiencies raised as part of the external audit
  • Production and ownership of technical accounting papers to share with group and external audit
  • Attending the UK technical accounting committee and responsible for leading any accounting change projects
  • Main point of contact for external audits
Salary - £70,000 - £75,000 + Bonus

Hybrid working - 2 days office per week


Key Skill / Experience:

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Strong technical experience and up to date knowledge of IFRS reporting requirements
  • Experience in providing technical IFRS advice linked to financial services products is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrable experience of taking responsibility for technical accounting papers
  • Able to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders across all levels of the business
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
