Working in support of a "good" special school in Reading, we are looking for a Teacher of English to start as soon as possible.

Opportunity for a permanent contract following a successful temporary period.

The school work with disengaged students outside of mainstream education, some who have suffered childhood trauma, neglect or abuse.


Working in this school is an excellent opportunity for any English teacher to have a real impact on a young person's life.

What are we looking for?

  • QTS is ideal, however not essential.
  • Previous experience supporting students with social and emotional mental health needs.
  • Ability to teach English to a minimum of KS3 level and experience of teaching GCSE language and literature.
