- Provision of person-centred, professional nursing care to residents within Older Adults nursing homes and Short-Term Services.
- Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care plans for a designated number of residents.
- Maintaining accurate records on resident care and reporting clinical and non-clinical events to assist with internal and external audits.
- Supervising, mentoring, supporting and educating more junior staff in the home.
- Liaising with other healthcare professionals and work in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team, ensuring a timely escalation when needed.
- Promoting good practice to achieve continuous improvements in nursing care and assist with audit trials and bench marking clinical services within the home.
- Phlebotomy, injections, syringe pumps, insertion/removal of urinary catheters and removal of sutures.
