We are seeking Teaching Assistants on a permanent / temp to perm basis from January 2024. Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities?

About the role:

We are seeking individuals (no experience required as we and the school and help support and train you) that are looking for a new full-time role from January 2024.

You must be able to drive as the school is in a fairly difficult location to reach via public transport.

The hours for this role are 8:30am to 3:30pm and you will be able to work in their primary or secondary site, depending on experience and preference.

About the school:

The school caters for children aged 5 to 16 with a range of Complex Needs, Autism and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

The school have recently merged into a Trust and are therefore looking for individuals who are excited to become part of a new and exciting journey.

The class sizes are around 8 children, with a class Teacher and 3 to 4 Teaching Assistants.

Requirements:

To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will:

You must be a driver (the school is difficult to access via public transport)
Be available 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only
Experience, either personal or professional, within Autism or Complex Needs is preferred but not essential
Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service, or be willing to process one with us

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.

The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

Relevant experience as a Teaching Assistant / Support Worker

Key responsibilities:

As Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for:

You will be responsible for working alongside the class Teacher and fellow class Teaching Assistants
Supporting each child and being proactive and resilient in your work
