    Role Purpose:

    The People advisor plays a pivotal role in supporting the employee lifecycle from an HR perspective and driving employee engagement. You will be the on-site people representative for our manufacturing operation located in Chelmsford

    In this role, you will ensure that our people are equipped to develop their careers and are supported by inspiring and being proactive with our people managers.

    You will have the opportunity to initiate and drive people initiatives and develop engaging content.

    Success Criteria

    • Driving engagement initiatives, resulting in an upward trend in our engagement survey
    • Championing people development, ensuring that all within the function have development plans in place
    • Visibility of our talent, and driving internal mobility
    • Ensuring new starters have a seamless onboarding experience
    • Acting as a trusted advisor to the manufacturing team
    • Provide expert advice and guidance on employee relations matters
    • Support managers with performance management processes
    • Advocating mental health initiatives
    • Maintaining documentation for the people lifecycle
    • Manage and monitor people trends, providing commentary and solutions where required

    The team and stakeholders:

    Team:

    You will be working with an agile people function reporting to the Head of People, supported by our People Operations Associate and Talent Partner. You will need to be prepared to be actively involved in the development of our people strategy.

    • Manufacturing leadership team and business operations

    Skills and Experience Required:

    Essential:

    • Experienced HR Advisor
    • Clear communicator - No HR Jargon or buzzwords
    • Creative initiatives that drive employee engagement
    • Solution-orientated and adept at simplifying operations
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Good knowledge of people practices and legislation
    • Curious and eager to learn and develop

    Desirable:

    • Experience of working within the manufacturing industry
