    Would you like to work as part of a friendly, dynamic team within Selby's community hospital?

    Selby Outpatient Department has opened up a new position for a Band 5 Registered Nurse.

    Our department is a is a diverse Outpatient department supporting clinics from many different specialities.

    We also have a Dermatology treatment area, providing nurse led treatments for skin conditions, a theatre used for Dermatology Surgery and larger theatre used for Maxillofacial surgery.

    We provide nursing and medical care for people of all ages, with many different conditions.


    As a registered nurse within our department, you will provide patients with dermatology UV light treatments, admit patients for maxillofacial surgery and provide post op care in recovery following their procedures and assist consultants to run specialist clinics completing procedures for a variety of different specialities.

    Training will be provided where necessary.


    You will be responsible for taking charge of the department in the absence of senior staff, co-ordinating clinical activities and assisting in the training and supervision of students and junior staff.

    Maintain a high standard of patient focused care in accordance with York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust policies and procedures
    Provide assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care for patients, ensuring accurate written records are kept.
    Promote and maintain positive relationships between all staff involved in the care of the patient
    Act in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of Conduct
    Demonstrate personal responsibility for compliance with infection control policies and procedures
