    Job Description:

    As the HSSE Business Partner, you are expected to provide expert knowledge on health, safety and environmental matters across the UKI.

    Specific Responsibilities

    • Liaise with 3rd party service providers and contractors to ensure their compliance with local systems.
    • Manage issues as transport related compliance
    • Act as a contact for external bodies on health, safety and environmental regulation.
    • Facilitate local and regional SH&E management reviews.
    • Manage contract providers of safety & environmental services.
    • Own the development of SH&E related management systems in accordance to the relevant standards
    • Form strong relationships with local management teams and SH&E facilitators to be able to challenge and coach in a high-performance environment.
    • Build local SH&E management plans to ensure delivery of the company SH&E / CSR strategy that is aligned to the business objectives and initiatives.
    • Produce periodic reports on SH&E related performance for respective sites identifying and initiating improvement activities to ensure that target KPI's are achieved.
    • Coordinate and complete site SH&E audit programmes and corrective action management systems to ensure adherence to legal compliance, company policy and applicable standards.
    • Where necessary, work in partnership with Continuous Improvement programmes (e.g. changes to working practices and business "excellence" or lean programmes).
    • Support accident investigation activities and sharing of learnings

    Person Specification:

    Technical skills:

    • Appropriate NEBOSH Level qualification of equivalent
    • Employee Liability Law (Basic)
    • Working Knowledge of Environmental Management
    • Experience of Warehouse operations and tasks
    • Transport / logistics experience
    • Microsoft Office
    • Dangerous goods knowledge and possibly qualification

    Soft skills:

    • Communication and relationship building at all levels (Customer, Management, Operations).
    • Ability to promote and maintain the desire in people at all levels to strive for H&S compliance and a good safety culture
