    Description
    We are recruiting a Full Time School Site Manager for our local education trust client.

    Based at a School in Headley Park, Bristol, Ideally this role would suit someone who has been in a similar role before and lives locally.


    Hourly Rate:
    £13.45


    Work location:
    Headley Park, Bristol

    Hours of Work:

    Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, Hours can be 7am - 3pm or Split Shifts - 6.30am-11am - 3.30pm-6.

    What will you be doing:
    Maintenance

    • To be responsible for sustainable and effective maintenance of the sites and minibuses and deliver both a reactive and a planned maintenance response. To manage maintenance contractors and keep proper records of agreements, test results, issues and solutions to ensure the school is compliant.
    Health and Safety

    • To lead in the implementation of the Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and Emergency Plans ensuring that the school site meets statutory requirements, that operational systems are in place, checks are consistently carried out and that there is a high level of safeguarding delivered for children and staff.
    Security

    • To be responsible for all aspects of security ensuring that the site is secure, safe and that good systems are in place.
    Relationships with Site Users

    • To display a high level of professionalism and build good relationships with School and community users to facilitate the smooth running of the buildings
    Best Value

    • To identify value for money proposals, efficiencies and cost-effective solutions to the maintenance, health and safety and security challenges of the site.
    what experience that you will need to apply for this role

    • Handyperson or DIY skills
    • Basic knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety requirements
    • Full clean UK driving licence and willingness to drive the minibus
    • Ability to work effectively with outside agencies and contractors
    • Enjoy working within a team
    • Have good health and stamina
    • Be flexible with high levels of motivation and a 'can do' attitude
    • Ability to take the initiative and make decisions in the best interests of the school community
    • A commitment to the principles and procedures of safeguarding
    • To be able to use a computer
    • Ability to remain calm, make considered decisions and seek advice when necessary
