    Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support.

    We are on a mission to enhance the quality of education provided to young people with SEN (Special Education Needs) / SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), including SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs. Our focus is on supporting children and young individuals with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties).

    We are seeking SEN / SEND tutors with a genuine drive to improve the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Derbyshire.

    At Targeted Provision, we are committed to elevating the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young individuals in the UK. Our approach revolves around providing comprehensive support and you will receive backing throughout each assignment from our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.

    This role is perfect for qualified SEN / SEND teachers interested in 1:1 tutoring with children and young individuals with diverse learning needs, employing a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed approach to enhance their engagement and significantly enhance their educational journey.

    The SEN / SEND Tutor role:

    • Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to individuals with Special Education Needs and Disabilities
    • Support young people with SEMH, MLD, SLD, and other Educational Needs
    • Deliver flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring

    SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities:

    • Plan each teaching / tutoring session
    • Deliver engaging sessions tailored to individuals' needs
    • Provide feedback on progress

    SEN / SEND Tutor requirements:

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
    • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience
    • Experience with individuals with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Educational Needs
    • Knowledge of safeguarding processes
    • Enhanced DBS clearance
    • Two professional references
    • Legally entitled to work in the UK

    SEN / SEND Tutor employment status:

    • Engage as a Worker for short-term assignments
    • Payment through PAYE
    • No guaranteed work amount or expense coverage
    • Insurance provided
    • This is not a self-employed position
