    Synergi are recruiting for a Utilities Engineer to join a leading FMCG/manufacturing company based in Kettering.

    They are looking for someone hands on to support the production team and be based within the maintenance department.

    You will mainly be working on water treatment, boilers, refrigeration, and air compressors.

    The shift pattern will operate on Panama days and nights, with the salary on offer being £55,000 per annum.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    • Utilities - Managing and controlling the Utilities, including air compressors, refrigeration, boilers, cooling towers, air handling units and water treatment plants
    • Meter reading, daily utility checks and analysis, service schedules, boiler, and weekly utilities checks
    • Chemical stock level checks
    • Managing, controlling, and operating the waste water treatment plant and associated equipment
    • Managing and controlling general Site Services
    • Carrying out weekly, monthly, and quarterly PPM to site services plant, equipment, and processes

    Person Specification:

    • Qualified electrically biased engineer
    • Multi-skilled preferred or prepared to work towards.

      If electrical bias, 16/17th edition qualified
    • City and guilds or NVQ3 qualified in an engineering or maintenance discipline
    • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
    • Experience working with steam boilers, air compressors and boiler water treatment is essential
    • Previous experience of managing waste water treatment plants
    • Knowledge of safe working practices
    • Hygiene standards in a food environment
    • At least 3 years in similar environment
    • Forklift trained preferable
