Shift Pattern: 21:00 – 07:00 each night, providing cover on a 4 on 2 off night shift rota Saturday through to Friday each week.

We're supporting our client, a food manufacturer based near Telford, who are looking for a Hygiene Supervisor to join their growing team.

The successful Hygiene Supervisor will have experience of coordinating a team of hygiene operatives within a food manufacturing / processing environment

Position Overview:
As part of the company team, the Hygiene Supervisor will report directly to the Hygiene Manager.

The Hygiene Supervisor will coordinate the Hygiene team, to safely deliver hygiene procedures which ensure that the manufacturing facilities, meet regulatory standards and customers' expectations for Hygiene, GMP and Micro control.

Shift hours will be each night, providing cover on a 4 on 2 off night shift rota Saturday through to Friday each week.

These hours may be amended due to any changing needs of the business.


Responsibilities for Hygiene Supervisor:

• To ensure that Health and Safety procedures are adhered to at all times, to include the adherence to regulations regarding the control and safe use of chemicals. To report immediately any Health and Safety issue that could result in harm to yourself or others, or damage to equipment or product.
• To organise and supervise the hygiene team to ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed to the required standards and frequencies.
• To monitor hygiene standards in all areas across both factories and implement corrective actions where required.
• To ensure that all Hygiene documentation is completed daily, is in good order and will withstand full auditing.
• To complete regular Hygiene audits (weekly) on all areas of responsibility within the factories, and ensure any corrective action required, is completed in a timely manner to drive continuous improvement in the hygiene process.
• To Supervise, lead and develop members of the hygiene team. To ensure adequate documented training of all hygiene staff within your responsibility.
• To ensure the correct PPE is available and worn by the hygiene team at all times. To ensure all PPE is fit for purpose, not damaged or in need of replacement.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures are followed at all times.
• Immediately report to a manager any issues that could compromise Food Safety on site.
• Report all illness to the Hygiene Manager and ensure Return to Work procedures are completed prior to any member of the Hygiene team resuming any work detail following absence.
• Complete all day-to-day duties of the Hygiene Manager in their absence. To include the daily maintenance of the company Time Management System, to ensure all timesheets are processed on time for payroll purposes.
