Ian Farmer Associates wish to recruit a full-time person for a stores/logistics/technician position within a reputable ground investigation company. The right candidate would ideally have experience working within a busy and continuously changing warehouse environment and an awareness of working in a construction-based industry.

Previous relevant warehouse experience including stock control, despatch, order processing, dealing with suppliers etc. would be advantageous. Manual handling will be involved in the role.

The post holder will be expected to retain a good customer focus during interaction with operations and customers. On occasions the role will also require assistance in field technician monitoring duties (full training will be provided).

Good knowledge of SHE responsibilities in a warehouse environment and knowledge of safe systems of work would also be advantageous.

Responsibilities include:

• Detailed organisation of incoming and outgoing ground investigation samples and stock

• Maintaining accurate records of the above

• Co-ordinating the supply and delivery to site of plant and materials

• Provide support to our site-based operatives (logistics)

• Technician duties (gas and groundwater monitoring and sampling)

Ideally you have the following attributes:

• At least GCSE Maths and English to Grade A to E or equivalent

• Full, clean driving licence

• Good communication skills

• Good time keeping

Although the above responsibilities are an advantage it is not critical as training will be provided to the successful candidate
