    We have a new and exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Area Sales Apprentice. This full-time and permanent position is based at our offices in Tankersley.

    As an Area Sales apprentice at KCS, you'll get exposure to all areas of our sales lifecycle and be able to play a part in contributing to the growth of new relationships across the products we produce, develop and sell. Our opportunity is perfect for motivated individuals who wish to develop a career in sales.

    Key Responsibilities:

    With the full backing of the business, you will take responsibility under supervision for delivering lead generation follow up. This will be through your own effort as well as collaborating and utilising the capabilities of the sales focused Marketing Department. You will learn our product portfolio and attend fit for purpose training which will enable you to learn specific sales techniques and strategies to help you further develop your career in a sales-based position.

    The Day to Day you will be:

  • Selling with the support of the KCS sales team using a database to plan sales activity
  • Growing the prospect database
  • Keeping on track with your tailored learning programme
  • Attending training courses (both internally and externally)
  • Key Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Maths and English
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Previous Teamworking experience
  • Good time management
  • Knowledge of IT systems (Microsoft office package)
  • The ability to build rapport with internal and external individuals
  • Goal orientated
  • Have a strong learning mindset
