    Description

    Are you passionate about creating an inclusive and engaging student experience? Can you help plan and execute Welcome 2024 initiatives, ensuring a seamless transition for new students? We are looking for someone who can review current and past student experiences, as provided through survey insights, to plan the Welcome activities and induction for new students.

    You will discuss these insights with the wider stakeholders in the university and collaborate with various teams to design and deliver induction activities.

    Key aspects of the role:

    • Ensure that insights from the 2023 survey are shared with relevant colleagues across the college and are used to inform planning for Welcome 2024.
    • Work closely with members of the Student Success team to design and deliver the 2024 survey to collate insights for further development and improvement.
    • Coordinate and run, in partnership with the Student Engagement & Success Manager and wider Student Success team, a range of Welcome, Induction and Transition activities including Welcome Week.
    • Liaise with colleagues from other Professional Services teams on the preparation of materials related to Welcome 2024.
    • Act as secretary to the College's Student Transitions Board, scheduling meetings, preparing agenda, taking and circulating minutes and monitoring actions allocated across the College by the Board.

    The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

    • Higher Education Experience: Experience in coordinating student engagement or transition activities. Experience in Course Management would be preferable.
    • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
    • Data Analysis: Understanding of survey data analysis and experience with survey tools.
    • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for liaising with stakeholders and students.
    • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in meeting minutes, communication materials and event coordination.
    • Flexibility: Availability for occasional evening and weekend work during Welcome Week and other activities.
    • Event Management: Experience in coordinating large-scale events or induction activities (desirable).
    • Leadership Skills: Ability to supervise or coordinate student ambassadors or volunteers (desirable).
