An exciting opportunity has arisen for a nurse-led Pre-Assessment Nurse Practitioner to Join our friendly team at the Princess of Wales Pre-assessment Unit.
We are looking for a level 1 NMC registered nurse with the relevant clinical skills and surgical experience to provide patients with an individualised anaesthetic assessment prior to their surgery.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate must have excellent organisational and communication skills, and be committed to flexible working in line with the needs of the service.
The Pre-Assessment service undertakes assessments on a wide variety of specialties, such as Breast, Urology, ENT, Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Colorectal and General Surgery.
As well as undertaking a full nurse-led Pre-operative assessment of the patient, we may also expect you to administer Pre-operative Intra venous Iron Infusions within the department.
