    Pupil Care and Welfare Officer at Rattray Primary School

    We are currently seeking a dedicated Pupil Care & Welfare Officer to become part of our team at Rattray Primary School.

    • Develop positive relationships with children while upholding our school's ethos and values.
    • Promote respect for the school environment.
    • Assist in ensuring the safety of pupils during school hours and break times.
    • Support proper behavior of students both inside and outside the classroom.
    • Enhance attendance and punctuality by monitoring data and communicating with students and parents, alongside handling related administrative tasks.
    • Act as the primary contact for students on day-to-day matters.
    • Collaborate with the school leadership team and other staff members.
    • Communicate with parents on routine issues.
    • Proactively identify and mitigate potential challenging behaviors.
    • Promote and maintain a respectful school environment.
    • Undertake any additional duties or administrative tasks directed by the school leadership to ensure the well-being of students.
    Requirements
    Knowledge & Experience
    • Prior experience working with people.
    • Ideally, experience in a health and safety environment.
    • No specific qualifications are required, but educational background evidence is preferred.
    • Ability to handle sensitive matters with tact and empathy.
    • Tolerance and strong organizational skills are necessary.

    • Demonstrated capability to work independently and as part of a team.
