This includes highly ambitious changes to the technical education system, with the introduction of a new framework of technical routes, and qualifications (T Levels) based on employer-designed standards, streamlining of the existing 12,000 qualifications available to 16-19 year olds, and reforming Higher Technical Qualifications.

Job description:
Your role will be at the heart of operational delivery, working within a small team to support the PTE Finance & Corporate manager, ensuring both corporate management and corporate support functions work effectively.
This enables the Director, Senior Management Team (SMT), and wider directorate to successfully deliver against an ambitious and challenging Technical Education Reform portfolio delivering Secretary of State priorities.
Business Administrator Apprenticeship
(Level 3) please check the eligibility requirements below using the apprenticeship standard: Business administrator / Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education
- You must have lived in the UK for 3 years prior to apprenticeship start date and not be undertaking another apprenticeship at the same time.
- You must not already have a substantial amount of the skills and knowledge that is covered in the contents of the apprenticeship standard.
- You must not have already worked in a similar role, or your previous learning, and/or work experience covers the contents (Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours) of the apprenticeship standard.
- You already have all the skills and knowledge that is covered in the contents of the apprenticeship standard.
- You have already worked in a similar role, or your previous learning, and/or work experience covers the contents (Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours) of the apprenticeship standard.
- You have a degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration.
- Part of this apprenticeship is to complete a level 2 English and maths functional skills qualification. If you have already achieved GCSEs in English and maths at Level 4 (grade C) or equivalent or a higher grade, you will not need to complete the functional skills qualification.
Person specification:
The postholder will work across the PTE Corporate Team, supporting the PTE Finance & Corporate Manager including:
- Coordination of the recruitment processes across PTE, including providing advice and guidance to vacancy managers on various HR processes and systems
- People management helping to ensure that the PTE Senior Management Team have accurate information and data to make informed decisions regarding workforceplanning, allocation of resources and identifying key resourcing priorities for the directorate.
- Coordination of ABLE performance data including collating key findings and information for SMT to support oversight and moderation.
- Support to PTE's ministerial submissions and other correspondence, actively reviewing and allocating PTE's departmental correspondence cases and parliamentary questions
