Position Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Technology Services team as a Cyber & Network Team Leader. Edrington's Technology Services team play a critical role in delivering global network and cyber security.

This role is responsible for the for the evaluation, design, build and run of security and network solutions, working as part of a globalised support team providing a first-class service across all sites.

The role will be based at our Queen Street office in central Glasgow and will require occasional travel to other Edrington sites.

Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Global Technology Services, key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of Cyber & Network Engineers and Analysts
  • Supporting the personal development of team members, capability, and ensuring effective utilisation of team skills and experience
  • Mentoring and coaching of the team in technology, business process, best practice and problem solving
  • Coordination of all resources (internal and external) and proactively manage risks
  • Defining and advancing the Cyber & Network strategy with Head of Technology Services
  • Evaluating, designing, building, and running of network infrastructure and security solutions
  • Managing and documenting policies, procedures, and standards
  • Oversight of technical incidents, requests, problems, and changes
  • Acting as a primary technical escalation point for major incidents
  • Leading the implementation and execution of a Cyber education and awareness programs
  • Collaborating with technology leads to increase and improve the overall Cyber Security function globally
  • Coordinate and deliver proactive services, such as risk assessments, penetration tests, audits, disaster recovery plans and exercises
  • Presenting to leadership forums
  • Management of partners and vendors
Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you are degree qualified (preferably with a Network or Cyber Security focus) or have appropriate industry experience, working across network and security stacks.

You have previous leadership experience, having directly managed, developed, and coached team members.

You hold excellent communication skills with the ability to translate and simplify complex technical information for a wide range of audiences including internal and external stakeholders.

You have strong knowledge of industry process and practices and experience of design and troubleshooting Enterprise Network and Cyber Infrastructure, you partner and influence internal and external stakeholders and deliver to tight deadlines.

Industry certification such as, CCNP, SSCP, CISSP and frameworks and standards such as, ISO27001, Cyber Essential+, NIST CSF, CIS Controls would be advantageous but not essential.

The role requires some travel and a full UK driving licence is therefore required.
