    Job Advert Location Description

    Kneesworth House is a 155 bed mental health hospital situated in Hertfordshire (on the borders of Cambridgeshire) with good commuting access to / from London. The hospital has a full pathway of care including medium, low secure, locked rehabilitation and open recovery wards situated across the site.

    Job Advert Role Description

    This is a full time role and includes Specialty doctor responsibility working with Responsible Clinicians.

    We are seeking an experienced Specialty Psychiatrist who can provide care, assessment and treatment of patients with mental disorders.

    The ideal candidate will work with the Hospital Director and Senior Management team to ensure effective clinical leadership of the inpatient service

    Key Responsibilities:

    Provide comprehensive care, assessment, and treatment to patients with mental disorders.
    Collaborate closely with the Hospital Director and the Senior Management team to ensure effective clinical leadership of the inpatient service.

    Participate in the development and implementation of treatment plans, working closely with the multi-disciplinary team.

    Conduct patient evaluations, make diagnoses, and recommend appropriate therapeutic interventions.

    Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.

    Contribute to the continuous improvement of the clinical service by participating in quality assurance initiatives.

    Stay updated on the latest developments in psychiatric care and incorporate best practices into your work.

    Qualifications:

  • Medical degree and valid license to practice as a Psychiatrist
  • Board certification in Psychiatry is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Specialty Psychiatrist, with a strong background in the assessment and treatment of patients with mental disorders.
  • Exceptional clinical and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Dedication to providing high-quality care and a commitment to the well-being of patients.
