Are you passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs and ensuring their personal care requirements are met within a college environment? Do you have a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of students with additional needs? We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistants with personal care experience to join our college in Uxbridge.

Responsibilities:

Provide oneonone support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with physical disabilities, medical conditions, or personal care requirements.
Assist students with personal care tasks, such as toileting, feeding, grooming, and mobility support, while maintaining their dignity and privacy.
Collaborate with teaching staff and healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans and ensure students' safety and wellbeing.
Support students in accessing the curriculum, participating in classroom activities, and completing assignments.
Adapt teaching materials and resources to meet the specific needs and abilities of each student.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social interaction and independence among students.
Monitor and track students' progress, documenting observations and reporting them to the relevant staff members.
Provide emotional support and guidance to students, addressing their individual social and emotional needs.

Requirements:

Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role within an educational setting, preferably with experience in personal care.
Knowledge and understanding of various physical disabilities, medical conditions, and personal care procedures.
Experience and confidence in providing personal care tasks, ensuring the safety and comfort of students.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational and personal care needs of students.
Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of students and the college.
Relevant qualifications in education, healthcare, or personal care are desirable but not essential.
