We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Product Engineer to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Stockport.As a Senior Product Engineer you role will be to lead the development of innovative products that redefine water-based experiences.
The successful candidate will bring a wealth of technical expertise, a proven track record in product design, and the ability to drive projects from conception to launch.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our client's offerings and driving excellence in design and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with the industrial design team to make their aesthetic aspirations possibleWorking to ensure the products are to the highest quality standards Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, marketing, and manufacturing, to translate product concepts into tangible designsContinually look for ways to refine, improve and value engineer the productsProvide expert guidance and mentorship to a team of engineers, fostering their growth and development in tackling complex design challengesCollaborate closely with manufacturing partners to optimize product designs for manufacturability, cost-efficiency, and scalabilityAddress production issues, provide technical support, and lead initiatives for process enhancementApply value engineering principles to identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining or improving product qualityDevelop comprehensive testing and validation protocols to ensure product performance, durability, and adherence to industry standardsOversee the approval process, ensuring products meet regulatory and compliance requirementsEnsure accuracy and completeness of technical documents, specifications, and drawingsCreate and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality productsInitiate and guide research and development initiatives to explore new product opportunities and elevate existing offeringRequirementsA motivated and adept engineer with a passion for revolutionizing product design and user experiences A proven track record in product design and the ability to drive projects from conception to launchExperience with Solidworks or Similar 3D CAD software Organised, with attention to detailRelevant qualifications OR Qualified by experience Experience in high end bespoke washroom products (sinks, basins, taps etc) supplying to the commercial industry is highly desirable Or a transferrable industry (high-end kitchens)Hours - Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4.
