Our Marketing team serves as a cornerstone in showcasing our brand as an industry leader and generating revenue to meet our targets for acquiring new business customers, retaining existing ones, and expanding our product portfolio.

    The Senior Marketing Manager position at The Fuel Store holds a central position within this team, steering our marketing strategy and ensuring we meet our key performance indicators (KPIs). Reporting directly to the CMO, this role encompasses strategic planning as well as day-to-day operational tasks. Responsibilities include driving brand development, managing channels, automating CRM processes, providing sales support, and nurturing relationships with agencies.

    This role is pivotal in our journey, requiring a proactive and innovative approach to marketing to maintain our competitive edge and sustain our growth trajectory.

    Requirements
    • Brand Development and assets:
      • Develop brand value proposition, messaging, and external brand guidelines.
      • Establish tone of voice (TOV) and toolkit to maintain brand consistency across all communication channels.
    • Channel Management:
      • Devise and execute channel and roadmap plans for owned, earned, and paid marketing.
      • Oversee social and content marketing initiatives, as well as paid performance marketing including PPC, retargeting, display, social media, and LinkedIn advertising.
      • Coordinate events and expos to enhance brand visibility.
    • CRM Automation:
      • Collaborate with CRM and Data lead to implement a multi-channel nurture automation programme.
      • Ensure continuous optimisation to drive a pipeline of quality leads.
    • Partnership Support:
      • Assist in developing partnership propositions and corresponding marketing collateral with the Partnership Manager.
    • Traffic Analysis:
      • Explore anonymous traffic visibility through IP tracking for targeted marketing efforts.
    • Website Management:
      • Manage and maintain the company website, ensuring its alignment with marketing objectives.
      • Develop SEO strategies to maximise organic site traffic and inbound leads.
    • Sales Support:
      • Create sales support collateral, including case studies, statistics, sales scripts, and objection handling materials.
      • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather detailed product/service information.
    • Referral and Loyalty Programs:
      • Develop referral and loyalty programmes to enhance customer engagement and retention.
    • Agency Management:
      • Manage relationships with digital agencies and procure specialist PPC and SEO agencies as needed.
    • Team Management:
      • Lined manage the Content Manager and Designer.
      • Handle team requests related to marketing collateral and campaigns.
      • Oversee briefing and execution of brand and marketing assets.
    • Competitor Analysis and Industry Trends:
      • Conduct competitor analysis and stay abreast of industry trends, particularly changes in the oil market.
      • Proactively adapt marketing strategies to capitalise on market shifts and maintain a competitive edge.

    To contribute to The Fuel Store's success, you will need:

    • At least five years' experience in a Marketing role or demonstrable knowledge.
    • Strong communication skills essential for conveying ideas effectively, presenting strategies, and collaborating with stakeholders.
    • Strategic thinking: optimising the marketing strategy, identifying growth opportunities and executing the marketing roadmap.
    • Collaborative approach: working effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration for cohesive campaigns.
    • Creative skills: developing innovative campaigns and solutions that resonate with target audiences and differentiate the brand in the market.
    • Problem-solving skills: developing effective solutions to overcome obstacles and drive results.
    • Commercial Awareness: understanding the business world, including trends, market conditions, competitors, and economic factors, crucial for effective decision-making and operational success.
    • Team player and people management experience and fostering a positive work environment conducive to creativity and productivity, while demonstrating the company core values and behaviours.
    • Adaptability (Our industry is ever changing, strategies can change quickly)
    • Ability to work to a high volume and manage your own diary effectively.
    • Self-starter with a can-do attitude and strong team player mentality.
    • Well-rounded marketing professional with experience in managing agencies and optimising SEO and PPC strategies.
    • Proficiency in WordPress and content management systems (CMS)
    • Familiarity with automation tools for setting up flows and reporting, including Google Analytics, heat mapping tools, and social media reporting.
