    Description
    An opportunity has arisen for an Electronic Test Technician to join a UK company manufacturing leading technology protection relays and medium voltage circuit breakers often for highly critical electrical power systems across a global client base.

    As Electronic Test Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing assembled PCBs after manufacturing and prior to final product assembly. This role will be hands on and varied, suiting a person with a strong technical background and one with working knowledge of surface mount optical inspection and testing activities. You will report to the Production Manager and work closely with both the production and product test teams.

    We're looking for an Electronic Test Technician with:
    • The ability to work to written instructions and bills of materials
    • Experience with resistor colour coding is essential.
    • Previous experience within an electronics/manufacturing environment is essential.
    • Familiarity with automatic optical inspection programming and operation.
    • Experience working with conventional and surface mount devices and packages to IPC-A-610 standards
    • Knowledge of the tools used in an electronics environment.
    • The ability to demonstrate knowledge of PCB production processes.
    You will be working 37.5 hours per week, onsite in Manchester.
