Responsibilities:


  • Act as the first point of contact for individuals and families seeking housing assistance, providing them with information and guidance on available options.
  • Assess housing needs and eligibility, conducting interviews and home visits to gather relevant information.
  • Develop personalized housing plans for clients, taking into account their unique circumstances and requirements.
  • Collaborate with local authorities, housing associations, and private landlords to secure suitable housing placements.
  • Provide ongoing support and advocacy to clients throughout the housing process, addressing any concerns or challenges they may face.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of client interactions, ensuring confidentiality and data protection.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in a similar housing or social services role is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of housing legislation, regulations, and policies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound judgments while adhering to guidelines and procedures.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software for data management and reporting.
