The Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) is the UK Type Approval Authority and ensures that road vehicles meet the minimum safety and environmental standards as required by GB, UK, and UNECE regulations.

The integrity, objectivity, impartiality, and professionalism of our staff is vital to delivering this service for the automotive sector.

We are now seeking Compliance Officers to join our team. If you are someone who has great attention to detail, a questioning mind, and a passion for public service, this would be an excellent opportunity for you


Job description:

These are permanent opportunities and office locations will include either Bristol or Nuneaton.

There will be a business requirement to be based in the office for a set number of days per week.

This will be discussed further with your line manager on appointment. Due to the nature of the role, there may be an element of travel involved. This could include travel to other offices or travel to meet with key stakeholders.


Responsibilities

  • Include but not limited to:_
  • Management of workload to meet internal Key Performance Indicators.
  • Collaboration amongst colleagues to manage team workload and identify priorities.
  • Using VCA systems to ensure accurate data records are kept for audit purposes.
  • Working within VCA Quality Management System to ensure high quality standards are maintained.
  • Line management and development of a small number of Certification Officers.

Person specification:


To be successful in this role you will need excellent attention to detail and judgement in relation to compliance assessments.


You have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to a range of audiences as well as experience of working in a compliance role.

The sift is due to take place on 22nd February 202- Interviews are due to take place w/c 6th March 202- This interview will be conducted in person, details of which will be provided to you should you be selected for interview.
