We are the primary distributor for Tesco and JS, also working with other daily FMCG customers such as Asda, Aldi, Lidl, Waitrose, Morrison's, Iceland, Ocado andBookers.


The role of the
Operations Manager (Nights) is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the warehousing functions, whilst maintaining leading standards of customer service and employee engagement.

Shift Pattern:
NIGHTS working on a 4o4o rota.


Our friendly team is now hiring a positive and proactive Operations Manager, based at our impressive new site in Crick.

We are an extremely fast-paced and growing company, with a diverse team.

We are looking for an Operations Manager we can maximise siteoperational performance by providing a strong ethos of leadership and engagement.

In this role you will have complete understanding of the operation and closely manage customer requirements, ensuring that a variety of challenging KPIs are consistently achieved.

Health, Safety and Quality will be number one on your agenda and there will be considerable opportunity to develop both the team and new ways of working.

Experience of CI (ideally programs such as Kaizan, Six Sigma and Lean) and knowledge of a retail typeenvironment would also be a huge plus.

Do you have a sound track record in developing and leading teams? Have you managed financial targetsand costs? If so this might be just the role for you.


Qualifications

Further experience and skills we're looking for:

  • Ensure all departmental internal as well as contractual client KPI's are achieved or exceeded to consistently meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop and lead a culture of continuous improvement with the development of new and innovative ways of working in order to enhance operational performance and people development
  • Manage and develop the entire operational team, identifying key team members for the future and ensuring they are able to fuel the Company's growth and succession plans.
  • Recruit, train and retain a team of staff that are committed to quality in line with the customer's expectations as a premium brand.
  • Creation and deployment of a site communication strategy that is informative and exciting whilst ensuring full colleague involvement.
  • Proactively manage any other internal or external relationships as necessary ensuring a high level of professionalism at all times.
  • Identify and implement appropriate visual management techniques and control measures throughout the operation
  • A proven track record in managing high volume, high service driven warehouse operations.
  • A positive can do outlook with the determination and tenacity to succeed.
  • Proven ability of where personal drive, commitment and enthusiasm has led to business success
  • A highly confident and proactive individual able to represent the Company and customer.
  • A good knowledge of all MS Office packages
  • Knowledge of WMS would be advantageous
