Payments Project Manager
Peterborough, hybrid 2 days a week
6 Months
£600 - £700 a day, Inside IR35
Tasks:
- Plans and coordinates aspects of a Workstream delivery from initiation to completion, leveraging the technical projects within the overall programme
- Provides clientfacing coordination and communication including status reporting for the assigned workstream
- Works with other client workstream lead to ensure joint focus and clear communication is provided to the joint governance forums
- Manages project initiation activities including identifying contractual obligations, client needs and goals, existing situation, necessary contacts, and access to existing information as needed
- Ensures delivery aligns to operational standards. Develops alternate standards or document exceptions as appropriate
- Develops, defines, and executes project plans, project scope, activities, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Interacts with product development, client relationship teams, technology solutions, service delivery and/or other crossfunctional teams
- Identifies needed resources, defines, and assigns project roles
- Coordinates activities and tasks among team members, other internal departments and client or vendor/subcontractor organizations as needed to meet project goals and ensure project completion is on schedule, within budget constraints and of the appropriatequality standards for the project scope
- Assigns and monitors work of project team providing technical and diagnostic support and direction
- Manages risks, dependencies, issues/problems, and activity progress to ensure project goals, (e.g., timeline, scope, and quality) are achieved. Assists with problem resolution or risk mitigation as needed
- Dynamic involvement in preparing the documentation required for project implementation and the related approvals
What you bring:
- Good knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures, and guidelines
- Knowledge of the industry project management best practices
- Knowledge of various types of IT project methodologies and life cycles
- Knowledge of the Software Delivery Lifecycle
- Knowledge of financial services with cards processing and/or cardbased payment Processing
- Advanced skill in the use of project management software to manage projects, e.g., Microsoft Project, project repository, including risk, issues, and action items logs
- Experience of managing project budgets and timelines
- Listening skills and ability to ensure open and candid twoway communication
- Exhibits a high degree of initiative and analytical skills to handle and solve complex problems
- Ability to work with / coordinate both offshore and onshore resources
- Experience of working closely with client project and programme teams delivering projects in a collaborative environment
