    Business Systems Analyst (Confirm)

    Contract: Corporate

    Location: Flexible / Hybrid working

    Contract Type: Permanent

    The Ringway Jacobs Business Systems team support, manage and improve key business applications. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for the management, support and configuration of the Enterprise Asset Management Software, Confirm.

    You will act as a technical lead/SME supporting project delivery and business as usual activities for the Confirm software across our Cheshire East and Essex Highways contracts. You will work closely with our operational teams in the development and delivery of the Business Systems Strategy to support the Ringway Jacobs Business Strategy.

    You will be the training lead for the Confirm software. Creating training content, running virtual and in person training sessions.

    You will turn data into information to support data-led decision making. Liaising with colleagues to identify requirements for key performance and management information, for both internal and external stakeholders.

    The Role

    -Manage external software vendors, service providers and consultants.
    -Support strategic vendor management, including completing regular Service Reviews and SLA Management for external software vendors.
    -Ensure appropriate service governance, tools (ITSM), processes, documentation and reporting mechanisms are followed.
    -Identify opportunities for Confirm improvement, maturing system configuration and/or processes.
    -Assist in the development of the Business Systems Strategy.
    -Assist in defining a delivery roadmap, aligned with the Business Systems Strategy.
    -Be the point of contact for Confirm support cases and escalations.
    -Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB), as and when required.
    -Act as a technical lead/SME for the Confirm software, supporting both project delivery and business as usual activities.
    -Research new solutions, including the roll out pilots of new developments.
    -Project manage delivery of new solutions.
    -Configure Confirm to enable delivery of new solutions.
    -Act as a training lead for the Confirm software functionality, running virtual and onsite training.
    -Write SQL reports within Confirm. Turn data into information, to support data-led decision making.
    -Providing all necessary Confirm support as and when required to do so.

    About You

    -Degree level or equivalent high-level qualification in a related subject (Desirable)
    -PRINCE2 or similar project management qualification (Desirable)
    -Experience of administering Enterprise Asset & Works Management technologies (Essential)
    -Experience of administering or developing Microsoft SQL or Oracle SQL, and other similar database technologies. (Essential)
    -Experience of administering GIS technologies. (Desirable)
    -Requirement of some travel across sites so will need a valid driving licence (Essential)
    -Excellent written, oral and presentational communication skills, interpersonal and listening skills.
    -Excellent problem-solving, judgement and analytical skills.
    -Strong attention and commitment to quality.
    -Ability to develop, mentor and up-skill team members.
    -Experience of managing external vendors, business service providers and consultants.
    -Experience of supporting and administering business applications in an enterprise environment.
    -Flexibility to adapt to a quick paced environment.
    -Able to prioritise work to support business priorities, working autonomously and manage conflicting priorities.
