Altum Consulting is proud to be working with an educational and trade union body in helping them find a proactive Finance officer to support the organisation during the ongoing transformation project.

This role is a 4-month contract offering between £150 - £180 per day.

Current hybrid structure is only 4 days at home 1 day in the office every (Wednesday).

As the Finance Officer your role will involve:

Managing all the Accounts Receivable / Payable processes.
Supporting operation finance task such as, weekly pay run, monthly payroll, credit control.
Supporting the timely preparation of monthend accounts, monthly journals.
Carrying out monthly and quarterly bank reconciliation.
Preparing monthly supplier account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
Addressing payment queries from suppliers, invoice owners, and employees
Collaborating across departments
Resolving payment queries from suppliers, invoice owners and employees.

The ideal Finance officer will be:

Ideally AAT qualified or be part qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/CIPFA/ACCA or equivalent)
Ideally experienced in using XLedger, SAP or Sage.
Selfmotivated and able to work independently.
Organised with the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
