    REGIONAL TRADE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - GLOBAL HQs

    Savino Del Bene is looking for a Regional Trade Development Manager to operate in its Global HQs located in Florence, Italy for the Middle East and North/Central Africa Area.

    The position's primary goal is to sell, develop & retain business on the assigned trade lane for all products and hold overall responsibility to drive customer development through sales at origin & destination. The Regional Trade Development Manager plays a crucial role in promoting and facilitating international trade and economic development within a specific geographic region. It will play a pivotal role in promoting business growth, which is particularly important in regions with emerging markets and growing trade potential. The role will be responsible to create opportunities for businesses and strengthen the economic ties between their home country or organization and the region they are responsible for.

    Key tasks and responsibilities include:

    · To maintain a robust understanding of evolving market conditions to aid internal stakeholders in opportunity identification, problem-solving, and product awareness.

    . To develop commercial strategies to manage and nurture customer relationships and agreements, becoming a trusted advisor.

    · To conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify potential trade opportunities and market trends within the designated region. This involves monitoring economic, political, and regulatory developments that may impact trade.

    · To develop and execute strategies to promote the products and services of their organization or clients in the target region. This may involve organizing trade shows, exhibitions, and other marketing initiatives to increase market presence.

    · To establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, trade associations, industry partners, and potential clients.

    · To build a strong network can help create business opportunities and resolve trade-related issues.

    · To maintain records of trade-related activities, prepare reports on market developments, and track the progress of trade initiatives in the region.

    · To identify potential risks and challenges associated with international trade within the region and work on strategies to mitigate those risks.

    · To communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, government authorities, and business partners. Keep everyone informed about trade developments and opportunities.

    · To collaborate with global sales teams, regional teams, and Vertical Markets to maximize the effectiveness of commercial actions, providing strategic support, and actively participating in presentations to key clients.

    . To maintain close collaboration with operational teams to ensure the effective execution of the service offered.

    · To create SOP for new traffic acquired.

    · Depending on the specific country, proficiency in local languages and a deep understanding of the local culture and business practices can be beneficial for building relationships and navigating business dynamics.

    Required skills and experiences:

    • Proven experience (5+ years of experience) in roles related to commercial development or business management at an international/global level in the freight forwarding industry,
    • In-depth knowledge of the technical aspects of freight forwarding and operations related to the transportation of products.
    • Preferably a bachelor's or master's degree.
    • Fluency in English and French languages are mandatory. Knowledge of Italian and/or Arabic would be an important plus.
    • Excellent market analysis skills and understanding of industry dynamics.
    • Demonstrated skills in creating and managing strategic relationships with partners and clients.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Results-oriented with the ability to achieve growth objectives.
    • Fluent in both English and French. Knowledge of an additional language will be considered a plus.
    • Availability for frequent international travel.

    Contract type: Adequate remuneration and employment terms will be offered.
