Rotational Pharmacist - Guildford, United Kingdom - Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust
Description
Job summary
Due to changes within the team, the Pharmacy department at The Royal Surrey County Hospital is looking for self-motivated, talented band 6 pharmacists to join our rotational training programme.
This rotational programme includes a variety of clinical experience and training within the various specialties, including medicine, surgery, paediatrics, antibiotics, medication risk, aseptics, oncology and dispensary.
We would welcome applications from candidates who have recently completed their pre-registration training, as well as pharmacists working in the community setting.
This is a full-time post of hours per week, however flexible working and job-share will be considered.
Main duties of the job
You will be primarily ward based for most of the rotations, optimising all aspects of pharmaceutical care to individual patients and developing and promoting medicines management services. You will work as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary clinical team and a variety of Specialty Business Units (SBUs) across the hospital.
Candidates should be keen to pursue further postgraduate education, including working towards completion of certificate/diploma or an independent prescribing qualification. You should be a team player with the ability to introduce change and have a keen interest to actively participate in the training and development of others.
Successful applicants will be required to participate in late night, weekend working and public holiday work. You may be required to participate in the Pharmacy On-Call arrangements depending on service needs.
