Hutcheon Mearns are working with our client in the charity sector to recruit an experienced Finance Assistant into an initial six-month contract role.

This role will be based in their city centre office and is a full-time position.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to not only work as part of a friendly team, but also to support an exceptionally worthy cause doing great work in the community.


Working closely with the Finance Manager, the purpose of the role is to support the work of the charity by aiding in maintaining and processing financial records for the charity and its two subsidiaries.

This is a busy role with a relatively high volume of processing across AP, AR, banking and invoicing.


Applicants must have previous experience in a finance position, ideally working for a small company or charity in a busy finance team.

You must have a sound knowledge of accounting packages, preferably Xero.
