    As a Chef Supervisor, you will work closely with the Retail Catering Manager to provide a top-notch catering service to staff and visitors. Your responsibilities include ensuring that meals are prepared and served in full compliance with food hygiene standards and regulations.

    Key Responsibilities

  • To provide direction, guidance and support to all Chefs within the department to ensure they carry out their roles efficiently and effectively and comply with relevant legislative, ISS and Trust operating standards to achieve the department's service provision objectives
  • To ensure positive employee relations are maintained through effective and consistent application of both ISS and Trust communication, training and managerial practises
  • To manage Chefs consistently and in accordance with the relevant ISS or Trust policy in relation to recruitment, training, absence management, disciplinary and grievance procedures
  • To create, maintain and enhance effective working relationships with the Trust, ProjectCo, ISS colleagues and other interested organisations and individuals
  • To assist line manager in the preparation of business plans, implementation of Company led initiatives, budgets and forecasts and service improvement proposals
  • To ensure correct resource levels are maintained to meet service provision objectives and additional short-term or emergency resource requirements are within approved budget and contract specification
  • To monitor and control costs associated with the department's service provision in line with the approved budget and contract specification
  • To undertake service quality and performance monitoring and to report this to line manager and assist them in identifying and implementing corrective action where necessary
  • Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Experience with a couple of years of catering experience and some people management experience within foods
  • Ideally Food Safety Level 2
