Qualitair Aviation are recruiting a Build Technician who will be responsible for the final assembly of Civil Aircraft Landing Gear for one of our leading Aerospace Clients in Hayes, Heathrow

Responsibilities:

The assembly of mechanical components and Installation of Hydraulic and Electrical systems to aircraft undercarriages and associated hardware.
Assembly being conducted in line with all OEM, legislative, and Industry requirements providing right first time, quality primary structural aircraft products.
Management of consumable items.
Ensuring the correct functioning of the quality infrastructure.
Inspection/duplicate inspection of completed assemblies/subassemblies.
Liaison with associated departments.
Precise work scheduling.
You will be required to maintain Practical Experience Record (PER) book.

Requirements:

Ideally applicants will have served an Aircraft related apprenticeship or equivalent with experience in a similar service industry
Emphasis placed upon those applicants that have served within an EASA/FAA approved organisation
Experience of Assembly of components
Extensive experience working in an Airline/Aerospace related environment
Knowledge of the legislative & quality system requirements
Good knowledge MSOffice
Knowledge of company health and safety practices
Assist in resolving issues that may affect delivery of gears and struts on time
Understanding of manual handling
Use of hand tools and power tools
