The Best Connection are recruiting for a time served Glass Blower to provide support to our client based in Wallsend, Newcastle.

This is a permanent position.


The role:
Perform glassblowing tasks as directed and ensure that glassblowing standard operating, and quality procedures are adhered toCleaning, preparation and cutting of quartz partsManipulation of quartz tubing, rods and platesQuality control inspectionUndertake training and development and provide support to ApprenticesThe ideal candidate would have:Meticulous attention to detailExcellent communications skills, both written and verbalA good level of numeracy skillsBe able to effectively organise working time to meet set priorities and deadlinesCompetency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Skills in ERP systems like SAP to the level necessary to perform the expected duties of the roleHours of work and Pay:

Monday to Friday7:30am to 16:15pm Monday to Thursday; 7:30am - 12:30pm Friday£27,920.63 annual salaryx1.5 overtime rate and x2 Sunday rateThis is a permanent position.
