Project Commissioning Engineer - Merseyside & Northwest


Due to company growth, we are seeking to appoint a Project Commissioning Engineer, to work as part of a team in the UK, the position will involve working closely with the Project Manager on all projects from inception through to completion and will involvesite supervision, man management from time to time and commissioning multisystem projects within the UK, ensuring all works are to a high standard within Health & Safety and Quality company requirements.


Responsibilities:


  • An allround knowledge of CCTV/Fire/Intruder/Access/Nurse Call systems undertaking Contractual and Technical reviews of the project and Assisting the Project manager for the workstream.
  • Site attendances.
  • Commissioning/handover and training.
  • Conversant with current industry standards to be able to review and deliver multidisciplined systems on time and within budget.
  • Working closely with sales and Install Managers to provide a true end to end project.
  • Ability to organise subcontract labour as required and liaise with our clients throughout the project lifespan.
  • To carry out technical audits when requested and complete NSI audits.
  • Completing RAMS, Progress reports and O&M Documentation.
  • Selfmotivated and able to organise workload, with the ability to work on your own initiative.
  • To review completed engineer job packs in a timely manner in line with company procedures.
  • Good Time Management is Key, working closely with the Project Manager to obtain the key skills required to achieve this.
  • Good computer skills and the ability to configure software for fire and security system commissioning.
  • Personal responsibility to ensure systems are commissioned/handed over in accordance with current standards and practices and project costs are delivered in line with departmental budgets.
  • Full driving Licence required.

About you
We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic individual that relish's a challenging environment. You must have good communication skills and technical knowledge of large fire alarm systems and projects.

  • Technical background in the Fire and Security Industry
  • Experience of engineering projects across single and multiple site locations.
  • The ability to Adapt to any situation
  • Experience of frontline customer contact preferred
  • Excellent organisational skills

  • Be able to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Ability to perform well as an individual as well as part of a team
