Senior Procurement Consultant
Location:
Flexible (role will require travel ~2 days per week)
Job Summary:
At AECOM we help our clients to deliver the most iconic and complex building and infrastructure projects in the world.
We have commenced a journey to build a market leading contracts and procurement service to support our clients to deliver their high-value and complex infrastructure projects.
We strive to offer excellence across the full procurement lifecycle, from front-end advisory to develop the optimum procurement strategy through to effective delivery of procurement competitions.

Key objectives of the role:
Provide high-quality procurement advice and support to AECOM's infrastructure clients on their flagship projects:
- Lead projects with up to two clients at any given time.
- Contribute your expertise to the development of the procurement service offering.
- Collaborate with AECOM colleagues to deliver quality outcomes for our clients.
- Challenge yourself in a market leading business.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Provide procurement strategy advice including leading clients through the process of designing the optimum delivery model, contract strategy, commercial model and route to market for their project.
- Lead the competitive procurement process including market engagement, supplier shortlisting, tender document development, tender management, evaluation and negotiation.
- Provide advice on commercial topics including incentive models and performance management.
- Support work winning activity including identifying leads with existing AECOM clients and contributing to proposal documentation.
- Support the development of AECOM's procurement service offering.
Minimum requirements:
- Proven capability delivering complex procurement projects over a sustained period.
- Broad range of project experience.
- Enjoys being accountable and takes pride in the quality of their work.
- Can work independently while being confident to approach colleagues for support when required.
- Good influencing skills.
- Can evidence high levels of commercial acumen and the benefits this has delivered to various projects.
- Passionate about individual, team and client success.
- Well connected across the industry.
Preferred technical knowledge:
- Rail, highway, aviation, utility sector understanding
- Standard contract forms including NEC or FIDIC
- Public Contract Regulations understanding
Preferred qualifications:
- Relevant degree, for example, in business, engineering or science
- CIPS qualified or equivalent
