An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Receptionist / Administrator to join our admin team based at the Woodlands in Ipswich.

Our reception operates as 24 hours hour service 7 days a week so you must be able to work shifts.

Our shift pattern is 8am - 4pm, 4pm - midnight, midnight - 8am, sometimes this may change to 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm

If you are a friendly, positive and well organised person that is interested in developing their current admin and reception skills whilst working in a fast paced environment and you are interested in an exciting challenge then this opportunity could be for you


This post requires a confident, level-headed individual who can be flexible, adaptable and can work on their own initiative as well as part of our team.

Good communication and telephone skills are key to maintain our high level of service. Ideally, we are looking for someone who has administration experience including good typing skills and IT knowledge.


You will also work on our wards at the Woodlands providing admin support to our clinicians, full training for reception and administration work will be provided.

You must possess excellent time management skills, a positive approach and a friendly, helpful manner. You will need to be able to remain calm under pressure and to prioritise your workload.

Your main duties will include

  • Meet and Greet
  • You will be the he first person our patients, carers and family members and visiting professionals meet face to face
Answering the phone, taking messages, putting calls through or re-directing.

Managing diary room bookings

Managing pool cars

signing in and out security packs for staff,

Responsibility when fire alarms sound, other admin procedures.

Accepting deliveries and packages, post

Attending MDT morning meetings, prepping for the meeting and live typing to update patient information.

Maintaining and updating electronic patient data.

Scanning.

Photocopying, displaying posters.

Supporting the wider admin within the unit.

Interacting with professionals, carers, and service users.

Skills we are looking for include
