Description

Our client is responsible for the fuelling operations at Heathrow Airport, including the management and maintenance of fuel tank farms and hydrant systems.

This is an exciting new position based at Heathrow overseeing projects varying in size from £20,000 - £750,000

Salary £57,000


Location:
Heathrow

40 hour working week with occssional weekend work


The scope of projects is varied from office facilities modifications & construction to pipework inline inspection (ILI) projects, to SCADA control system upgrades on the Operational Technology (OT) network, to specialist vehicle builds, through to variousmechanical & electrical projects on the process plant.

The client also from time to time has workflow process, IT infrastructure and Cyber security improvement projects.

Role Overview


Projects can be large or small and varied across disciplines & complexities, but every project needs to be managed to ensure its success.

The project supervisor needs to know what must be completed to deliver a successful project, how it will be achieved,how long it will take and how much it will cost.

You will need to have a delivery-focus to ensure that these steps are implanted, with good planning, organisation, leadership, and communication skills.


The project supervisor utilises resources with suitable skills, qualifications, experience, and knowledge to work together with clearly defined reporting lines, roles, responsibilities to help ensure that the project is successfully handed over to users.

Overseeing 3rd party projects


Our client uses the Association of Project Managers (APM) framework and the APM Body of Knowledge to identify the key areas of knowledge required to be able to effectively manage a number of projects with a small organisation.

Your background

You will hold an appropriate formal project management qualification, training or relevant experience. It would be desirable to have passed a formal qualification from the Association of Project Managers (APM)

Relevant Project Supervision/management background

Understanding of NEC contracts

Aviation fuels background disirable but not essential
