    ROLE OVERVIEW

    Join GRIDSERVE as a Field Service Engineer and play a vital role in maintaining EV Chargers at customers' sites. You'll be responsible for day-to-day maintenance, including installations, preventative measures, and corrective actions. Keeping meticulous records and timely reporting are key aspects of this role. Additionally, you'll oversee third-party contractors when necessary and collaborate with external stakeholders like suppliers and partners.     MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Perform planned inspections and maintenance in line with legal, technical, manufacturer, and contractual requirements.
    • Respond promptly to reactive maintenance needs, diagnosing faults and resolving issues.
    • Maintain and enhance health and safety standards across the network.
    • Conduct site surveys as needed and adhere to on-call schedules.
    • Generate accurate documentation for both internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
    • Maintain meticulous records of electrical testing, high voltage, and safety documents for audit purposes.
    • Deliver reports promptly and to a high standard.
    • Assist during commissioning and onboarding processes.
    • Ensure work meets technical quality, reliability, cost, and productivity standards.
    • Foster professional relationships within the team and with external partners.
    • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes including anti-bribery policy and Environmental and Quality Management System, compliant with ISO standards

    PERSON SPECIFICATION

    Required Experience

    • Good understanding of communications, wiring systems and schematics or equivalent
    • Experience with inspection and testing– C&G2391, 2394 & 2395 or equivalent
    • Experience working with EV charging, or equivalent

    Required Skills and Abilities

    • Physically demanding outdoor work; able to operate in all weather conditions.
    • Strong communication skills, fluency in written and spoken English.
    • Positive, proactive attitude.
    • Capable of working independently and collaboratively.
    • Adaptable to changing priorities and challenges; enthusiastic about personal growth.
    • Proficient in reading and interpreting schematic diagrams and technical manuals.
    • Knowledgeable about health and safety regulations, particularly during solitary on-site tasks.

    Required Qualifications and Certifications

    • City & Guilds 17th/18th BS7671
    • Relevant electrical qualifications – NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
    • Full Driving License
