    We are looking for a Head of Strategic Semiconductor Markets in Bristol who can effectively advocate for our Production Customers' needs within our company. The ideal candidate will cultivate a culture that prioritizes solutions and values continuous innovation for our production customers. As the head of this department, your responsibilities will include executing the content for the Customer Value Proposition (VoC/JTBD) in alignment with the market roadmap. You will also lead market intimacy activities and provide valuable insights into our business to identify our customers' current and future challenges, assess our competitors, and understand the market dynamics that drive our business.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Identify Compound Semiconductor Production opportunities where Plasma Technology's solutions have the best opportunity to penetrate the market and grow revenue:

    • Use both internal and external data to determine which process and device applications will give Plasma Technology the best return.
    • Provide Plasma Technology with a better understanding of our customer's business drivers.
    • Maintain relevant market models/trends to support business decision making and analyse market share. Be an expert with respect to the competition. Compile and maintain a market "voice of the customer" database and develop an understanding of JTBD. Generate a global customer map/profile in order to make improved strategic and tactical decisions.
    • Own the market roadmap for the production market.

    Build key customer relationships which support business growth into the chosen segments:

    • Identify collaboration, JDP and JQP opportunities.
    • Key account and key opinion leader engagement for mid-long term business development. A key part of this role is to leverage OI and your own network to engage with large corporate R&D and HVM environment to generate awareness of our solutions and create sales opportunities for this future.
    • Technology incubation: Manage and optimise value from collaboration portfolio. Oversight of OI participation in N+1 customer projects and track top level milestone delivery and claims are in-line with commitments. Technology transfer to OIPT applications and technology teams. Scope feasibility of JDP with industrial collaborators.

    Support Plasma Sales & Marketing to:

    • Overall value proposition and mission statement for the CS production market.
    • Ensure campaigns align and support the roadmap. Work with Technical Marketing Manager to generate content for the target market. Contribute to core product documentation; (USPs, key messages, key customers, customer positioning, selling strategies, competitive analysis).

    Support Product Management team to:

    • Generate and execute Go To Market plans for New Product Introduction (NPI).
    • Generate Market Requirement Specifications for NPI based on customer and market understanding.
    • Competitive analysis.
    • Build product roadmaps which align to the market roadmaps.
    • Set correct in-market pricing and value pricing.

    Education / Qualifications:

    • A technical, relevant higher education qualification is preferred.
    • In depth experience of relevant technologies and processes.
    • Graduate with significant experience working in compound semiconductor production
    • Experience working in a CAPEX equipment company

    Professional Skills/ Abilities:

    • An ability to quickly understand the technical issues of relevant Semiconductor products and processes is necessary. Strong experience in device manufacturing and characterization
    • Evidence of developing new markets with new or existing products. Strong knowledge of the compound semiconductor technologies and markets
    • Customer focus – takes into account the customer needs in recommending solutions.
    • Good communication skills via written, spoken and public speaking
    • High level of skill in creating presentations
    • Understanding how commercial product volumes affect the demand for OIPT products.
