Description
Our client is an established food production company based in St Leonards on Sea. They are currently looking for a
Production Manager to join their hardworking and dedicated team.

As a
Production Manager you will be accountable for the productivity and effective management of the production unit.

You will be responsible for the development and maintaining of the production team, effectively delegating work schedules in linewith the production plan, focusing on cost effectiveness/productivity, quality assurance and on-time delivery that meet internal/external expectations.


  • Demonstrable experience in a similar position
  • Hold a Level 3 in Food Safety and Health and Safety
  • COSHH Awareness
  • Have a strong management leadership style
  • Possess strong communication skills
  • Be computer literate
  • Ability to achieve results by setting high standards and committing to clear objectives

Your duties as a Production Manager will include:

  • Managing the production to ensure the facilities are sanitary, organised and tidy always
  • Ensuring the production unit maintains accurate and up to date processes in documentation in working instructions, onboarding, annual appraisals including personal development plans
  • Developing and implementing safeguards and hygiene controls to ensure product safety are in place and effective
  • Working within present budgets and achieving set targets effectively
  • Maximising quality control and food safety in respect of all ingredients and finished products
  • Reducing the risk of damaged ingredient, packaging and/or finished products
  • Measuring and improving productivity and efficiencies by establishing and managing KPIs
  • Implementing and coordinating of production policies and procedures
  • Driving and developing the production business in accordance with strategic goals focused on driving productivity
  • Implementing and maintaining strong ways of HACCP monitoring and reporting
  • Overseeing and planning routine accurately recorded stock takes when required
  • Providing and presenting production data with statistical analysis to higher management

Salary:

Up to £30,000 per annum
