Student and Registry Services is one of the larger Professional Services divisions at UCL, providing essential services to UCL's 48,000 students, 120,000 applicants and supporting academic departments and administrative staff in delivering a high-quality student experience.

UCL's Information Services Division (ISD) is the primary provider of IT services to UCL. We support and enhance learning, teaching, research and administrative processes by providing information and technology
- related services to c13,000 staff and all students at UCL and many associated institutions.

Within ISD, this role is part of the Portfolio and Product Delivery department. Our purpose is to manage the delivery of technology-led change, partnering with colleagues across UCL.

We collaborate as cross functional agile teams and have core capabilities in user experience, development and test, analysis and agile delivery management.


The postholder will be accountable to the Student Experience Change Portfolio within ISD and will be expected to fully understand the core requirements for the lifecycle of the student record.


About the role:


This is a fantastic opportunity to join UCL's Student and Registry Services to make a real difference to improve and enhance the student journey from the post enrolment to award.

This role would really suit the skill and knowledge set of someone who has been, or is currently, immersed in the delivery and process side of the student cycle.

This is an exciting role which will lead the shaping of the future landscape in relation to technology and process enhancements for the student cycle for UCL.


The postholder will be based in Student Operations, within Student and Registry Services, in what is considered to be a senior post within our ISD's Agile framework reporting to the Digital Student Domain.

They will work in close collaboration with our Information Services Division (ISD) who are working with an Agile Framework and will become the Head of Student Product Delivery for our Current Student Product.

The ideal Head of Student Product Delivery will be someone that has been heavily involved in the records processing and management of the student records and associated processes.

They will be someone who has great ideas and drive to own the desired improvements and who would, in turn, own the road map and direction of travel for changes and enhancements.

The benefits of working in a product team is that the expertise of cross teams would be involved in the changes to be made, bringing together the technical expertise alongside the business expertise as part of the same team.


As the Head of Student Product and Delivery you will be responsible for maximising the value from the Current Student Product and, by leading engagement with stakeholders, identify the user need and its alignment to broader UCL objectives.

This is an internal secondment role, available to current UCL staff only.


About you:

Previous experience of working in cross-functional teams with Agile practices would be advantageous.
