About us:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 part-time Kitchen Assistant to join the Department of Space and Climate Physics (Mullard Space Science Laboratory), University College London (UCL).
The Department is located on its own campus in the beautiful Surrey Hills, in Holmbury St Mary near Dorking in Surrey.
The positions are open ended, the salary will be on a pro-rata basis and are available on a part-time (0.6) and (0.4) basis.
About the role:
The postholder will support the Catering Manager in the running of the canteen. This will involve helping in the basic preparation of food, cooking and servicing, cleaning equipment and washing dishes, assisting with functions (e.g. set up and clear up), and keeping the kitchen and the dining room clean and tidy. The postholder will also upload deliveries and organise the store room.
About you:
The postholder should have the ability to maintain high levels of hygiene within the workplace.
They should also have good customer service and communication skills as well as the ability to be able to take on a variety of tasks.
