Reed Accountancy & Finance have partnered with a highly successful Global Logistics company in their search for an experienced and commercially minded Finance Manager.

Reporting into the regional Finance Business Partner, you will be joining a fast-pacedenvironment, where you will use your commercial and analytical knowhow to drive performance.

My client is a reputable employer and has a proven track record of providing career progression across the organisation.

As the business continues to grow exponentially and site-based finance grows ever-important, you will help to bridge the gap betweenthe operations side of the business and finance, supporting business leaders to optimise results and contributing to the success of the business.

A few key responsibilities:

Producing weekly and monthly reports to contain accurate management financial information.
Direct line management of a financial analyst.
Monthly accruals and prepayments.
Ensuring local reports and central accounts are regularly reconciled.
Building knowledge of cost and revenue drivers and their impact on financial results.
Working closely with the ops team to get an insight into the business to analyse performance and identify areas of improvement to drive profitability.
Working alongside the team to prepare budgets and forecasts and ongoing variance reporting.
Developing strong relationships with team members and stakeholders to promote financial understanding across the business.

A few key requirements:

Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA).Part qualified or qualified by experience will be considered with the right experience.
Experience within the freight/logistics sector would be hugely beneficial, although not necessarily essential
Strong commercial and analytical background
Advanced Microsoft Excel user
Track record of building relationships with both finance and nonfinance personnel and the ability to explain financial information clearly
