    Job Title: Senior Financial Risk Analyst

    Location: London (hybrid working)

    What you'll do:

    As a Senior Financial Risk Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and implementation of our client's comprehensive risk management framework. You will work closely with key stakeholders across various business areas such as Investments, Treasury, Capital Management, providing oversight and challenge where necessary. Your ability to monitor the group's risk profile effectively will be crucial in ensuring timely identification, escalation, mitigation and management of new or emerging risks. Your collaborative nature will shine through as you work alongside business partners and Legal Entity Risk Management teams to maintain Risk and Control registers. Your role will also involve coordinating with Legal Entity risk teams to deliver operational risk management strategy.

    • Support the Head of Financial Risk to enhance and maintain Group-wide methodologies and frameworks for consistent risk management across the Group.
    • Provide risk oversight and challenge to key business areas including Investments, Treasury and Capital Management.
    • Contribute to the development of annual Assurance plan, defining points of focus for assessments.
    • Monitor the Group's risk profile to ensure timely identification, escalation, mitigation and management of new or emerging risks.
    • Support the Group CRO, CIO and Group Treasurer to maintain relevant risk management policies and related standards.
    • Collaborate with business and Legal Entity Risk Management teams to maintain Risk and Control registers.
    • Coordinate with Legal Entity risk teams to deliver operational risk management strategy and capabilities.
    • Aggregate risk data and synthesize key Market, Credit and Liquidity risk themes for reporting to senior management.

    What you bring:

    The ideal candidate for the Senior Financial Risk Analyst role will bring a wealth of Market and Credit risk experience, preferably within the insurance industry. You will hold a Bachelor's Degree, with recognised professional qualifications being a plus. Your industry acumen will be evident in your knowledge of business operations, finance, risk, and the actuarial aspects. Your experience working as part of a team within a multi-national insurance environment will be invaluable. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills will enable you to develop relationships at all levels and devote time to develop both yourself and others. Your sound commercial judgment will allow you to understand complex processes and structural issues, while your high level of personal confidence will enable you to lead and manage projects effectively.

    • More than 5 years Market and Credit risk experience, preferably within the insurance industry.
    • Bachelor's Degree, with recognised professional qualifications preferred.
    • Industry acumen, including knowledge of business operations, finance, risk.
    • Experience working as part of a team within a multi-national insurance environment.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to develop relationships at all levels, devote time to develop self and others.
    • Sound commercial judgment; able to understand complex processes and structural issues.
    • High level of personal confidence; able to lead and manage projects and change through influence and persuasion.
