Our production teams build our ventilation products to the highest standards, ensuring that Nuaire's reputation for quality, safety and innovation is upheld.

Working closely with internal cross-functional teams, we ensure that customer orders are built to schedule, providing them with the excellent products they have come to expect from Nuaire.


The Role
Reporting to the Operations Director the role is to organise the daily production plan.

The goal is to ensure the smooth and cost-efficient flow of our production operations It will involve working with cross functional teams to ensure the smooth coordination of current and new programmed demands and build schedules.


Responsibilities

  • Provide "current day" achievable production plan to all cells based on capacity and component availability.
  • Calculate the daily headcount requirements of each production cell, liaise with production cell leaders to pull required labour from the labour pool, present suggested production plan in daily capacity planning meeting and monitor any overcapacity or under capacity.
  • Liaise daily with the Material handlers to ensure that components deliveries to cell and production line are checked and kitted in sequence with the production plan.
  • Daily reporting of risks in current production plan adherence using current capacity data and cell component shortage reports.
  • Maintain the build schedules for all assembled manufactured products in line with customer requirements liaising closely with the lead time schedulers.
  • Manipulate the build schedules and material flow to ensure a balanced capacity loading across all production shifts and workdays.
  • Maintain the capacity planning database to ensure future real capacity exists for lead time processing of customer orders.
  • Headcount forecasting based on capacity requirements of existing orders, business forecast and historic demand.
  • Manage and present KPI's on schedule adherence and delivery performance.
  • Coordinate production workflow for all manufactured products, developing processes to improve cell efficiencies by ensuring accurate material availability and labour.
  • Head up cycle the counting process and liaise with the material controllers on the shop floor to ensure good stock accuracy for production efficiency and recording of data for audit control.
  • Daily/Weekly liaison with agency provider.
  • Look ahead planning for future labour requirements.

Demonstrates a full understanding of customer expectations with an awareness of the impact that poor product quality has on customer trust and Nuaire's reputation.

Enthusiastic about the team and able to anticipate issues and problem solve in a fast-paced changing environment. The Labour planner will be required to be well versed in production procedures and ways to optimise them. They are organised and results driven with great problem-solving skills. Advanced communication and computer skills are very useful for the role.


Requirements (Knowledge and Experience):


Essential:

  • Knowledge of tracking material and flow within current production
  • Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
  • An understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 36
  • Working with and ERP system advantageous
  • Good at math and statistics
  • Strong organisational and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment, providing input and feedback in a helpful manner
  • Good problemsolving skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience in production scheduling ideally within an assembly environment
