  • An excellent opportunity to start a career, complete an apprenticeship and progress within an independent law practice. General duties may include making and receiving telephone calls, preparing precise attendance notes, and filing, etc.

The office environment is generally relaxed and friendly but this will of course fluctuate depending on whether the office staff are attending to any imminent deadlines, hearings as this will ultimately necessitate a more quiet and focused environment.

Your role
Legal firm dedicated to providing top-notch legal services to our clients. We pride ourselves in our commitment to excellence, integrity and client satisfaction. To support our mission, we are seeking a highly organized and detail orientated Administrative to join our team. As an administrative assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our legal practice.

Your responsibilities and will encompass a wide range of administrative and clerical tasks, with a primary focus on providing exceptional support to our legal professionals.


1.
Document management

  • Organise and maintain digital and physical client files with strict confidentiality
  • Assist in drafting documents, document retrieval and management for legal proceedings
  • Assist in getting legal matters underway

2.
Client interaction

  • Greet clients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere
  • Schedule client appointments, meetings and conference calls

3.
Administrative support

  • Support fee earners in tasks delegated
  • Handle office supplies and firm resources

4.
Filing and records management
- navigate the firm's case management proficiently and record and manage data using the same.

  • Assist in filing documents with appropriate courts and parties

5.
Assist in marketing the firm's work

  • Use social media platforms to help the firm reach a higher audience/following

Desired skills
-
4-9 grades English and maths GCSE's:

  • Confident with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage reception in conjunction with other administration duties
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of ICT packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to demonstrate or gain a clear understanding of the firm's inhouse systems where training will be given
  • Excellent presentation, organisation and timekeeping skills
  • Awareness of confidentiality and safeguarding
  • The ability to use own initiative, be able to work individually as well as part of a team
  • Must be wellpresented with a clear, pleasant telephone manner
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good client care skills

Training to be provided

Paralegal level 3 cilex apprenticeship
The CILEx Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship is made up of:

  • Ethics, professionalism, and legal systems
  • Client care and legal research skills
  • Law and practice in a field related to the work of the Apprentice
  • Administrative duties and working with others in a legal environment.
