We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced French and Spanish Teacher to join a team at a Secondary School in the Durham Area.

The job is full-time and will commence in September 2024.

For this vacancy, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering French and Spanish lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.

You will be required to develop and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that encourage student participation and promote the study of French and Spanish.

As a French and Spanish Teacher, you will be expected to have a thorough understanding of the French and Spanish curriculum and be able to effectively communicate key concepts to students of all abilities.

You will also be responsible for tracking student progress and providing feedback to parents and senior management.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality French and Spanish lessons, be passionate about teaching and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Your new role

• Delivering engaging and interactive French and Spanish lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and
• Developing schemes of work and lesson plans in line with the French and Spanish curriculum
• Tracking student progress and providing feedback to parents and senior management
• Developing strong relationships with students, colleagues and parents
• Participating in departmental meetings and school events
• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all students at all times.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting
• Thorough understanding of the French and Spanish curriculum
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for teaching and promoting the study of French and Spanish
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
