Description

You will be responsible for the inventory management of products and materials throughout the business whilst ensuring the stock systems are accurately maintained.


This is a varied and interesting role as you will be working with a number of departments as well as dealing with international suppliers on a daily basis and also a key support role for the Stock Control team as many aspects of reporting ensure they have accurate visibility of stock and sales for their customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES_

  • Stock management to ensure physical stock on hand for sale, you will be responsible for all aspects of best practice around stock holding, including consolidation for capacity efficiency and to perform periodic cycle counts & internal audits to validate warehouse teams' accuracy when picking/logging away.
  • Working closely with Packaging and Stock Control teams to ensure aged stock is moving towards obsolescence and finally write off/disposal.
  • Responsible for supplier management of purchase order confirmations, load planning, expediting, documentation and shipment monitoring through to receipt into the warehouse.
  • Support Stock Control with the operational planning, updating OPF's and Strategix in line with planned shipments to maintain optimum stock levels.
  • Tracker management, uploading EPOS sales from customers information to give an accurate view of sales and future demand for Commercial Account Managers
  • To ensure that the supply chain function of the company runs effectively and efficiently so that each department performs in line with the Head of supply's strategic plan and objectives.
  • To maintain the administration, budgeting, monitoring, reporting, communication, and liaison on all supply chain matters.
  • Monitoring capacity of pallet weights and fill for storage in racking from a safety perspective and in line with racking weight capacities.
  • TiHi and BOM creation.

  • As an importer we declare all packaging that moves through our business and sold, this is reported so the tax accrued can be charged accordingly, you will be responsible for collating and reporting the data records for products sold and also for each customer who has purchased from us.
  • To be on hand to cover aspects of despatch function during busy periods or absence/holidays.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:_

  • A good understanding and experience preferred of current supply chain theory and practice including international trade would be helpful (But not essential)
  • Commercial awareness within a retail environment.
  • A confident communicator, able to communicate at all levels.
  • A selfstarter sufficiently motivated to work on their own initiative with little direction.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise individual workload through effective planning.
  • Able to plan and organise workloads and cope with changing deadlines.
  • An able listener with the ability to develop trusting relationships with people.
  • A persistent problem solver, able to develop practical solutions in a timely and thorough manner.

Hours: 09:00 to 17:00 hours, with a 45 minutes lunch break, Monday to Thursday and 09:00 to 15:15 Friday.


Salary:
From £23,000.00 per year
